How It Works
- The IPL light is selectively absorbed by melanin in the hair shaft.
- Heat is conducted to the hair follicle, destroying the cells responsible for hair regrowth.
- Hair in the active growth phase (anagen phase) is most effectively treated.
- New hair growth is treated over multiple sessions, gradually reducing the amount of hair.
What to Know Before Treatment
- Works best on dark hair and lighter skin; very light, white, grey, red, or bleached hair may not respond.
- Hair must be present in the follicle—avoid waxing, plucking, or threading for at least 4 weeks prior.
- Multiple sessions are required, usually spaced several weeks apart, with occasional maintenance sessions.
- Results are gradual; hair shedding may take up to 3 weeks after a session.
- Individual results may vary depending on hair type, skin type, and hormonal factors.
