PICOPLUS® is the next-generation product following the top-of-the-line series of Q-switched Nd:YAG laser devices perfected by Lutronic over the past 15 years, and challenging the pulse mode from nanoseconds to picoseconds.
PICOPLUS offered four wavelengths: 532 nm, 595 nm, 660 nm, and 1064 nm. This variety of options gave it the versatility to treat even the most difficult cases. PICOPLUS has inherited this novel feature but operates in the powerful and stable picosecond domain. The availability of specialized handpieces at four different wavelengths, combined with the ps-domain pulse width, makes the removal of both multicolored and black tattoos even more effective.

How does it work?
The longer the pulse, the higher the temperature and the risk of resulting thermal damage to the surrounding tissue. With the shorter pulse width (pico seconds) you can now use the maximum power settings without risking tissue damage. Fast and safe. Nano creates larger particles that are difficult for the body to remove. Pico creates microparticles that the body can break down more easily.

PICOPLUS is intended to remove traumatic tattoo (for 1064nm), to remove solar lentigines (for 532nm, 660nm) and to improve the early-stage erythematotelangiectatic rosacea (for 595nm).

PicoPlus FAQs
Yes, PicoPlus is generally safe for most skin types, including darker skin tones. Its picosecond technology minimises the risk of hyperpigmentation and scarring. However, a consultation with a trained provider is recommended to confirm suitability based on individual skin characteristics.
PicoPlus treatments usually have minimal downtime. Some redness or mild swelling may occur, typically resolving within a few hours to a couple of days. Patients can generally resume normal activities immediately after treatment, though it’s advised to avoid sun exposure and apply sunscreen on treated areas for optimal results.

Pico Plus Skin Pigment Control (also known as Pico Toning or laser pigmentation removal) is a series of cosmetic treatments using the latest Picosecond Laser technology which aims to bring an evenness to the colour and appearance of the skin by targeting and removing excess pigmentation, such as sun-spots, freckles and melasma, within the skin’s dermal and epidermal layers.
Using the Quanta Discovery Picosecond Laser technology, Pico Toning Treatments can be achieved with minimum discomfort and little downtime and disruption to the normal course of your day. The laser energy targets the pigment in the skin and the pigment is broken down into micro particles to be removed naturally by the body’s own lymphatic system.
